Residential trash and recycling services are provided by Republic Services throughout the town. Trash collection is billed on residents’ water bills.
The cost for once per week trash and recycling collection, using 95-gallon rolling containers, is $23.81 (plus sales tax) per month. Garbage service shall be limited to poly-cart collection once per week on a regularly scheduled service day.
Senior residents (65 or older) may apply for a reduced charge of $22.18, (plus sales tax) for residential solid waste services.
Disabled residents may request cart rollout service from their garage doors for a cost of $23.81 per month. Residents who do not qualify for disabled rollout service may request specialcart rollout service from their garage door for a cost of $37.55 per month.
All residential properties are covered by the franchise, regardless of whether or not water service is provided by the town, and will be billed accordingly. Failure to pay any portion of the town’s utility bill may result in late fees and/or termination of service.

Commercial and Industrial Customers
The Town has given Republic Services exclusive rights for waste collection and disposal of commercial and industrial garbage. This exclusivity does not include commercial or industrial recyclable materials, commercial or industrial accounts for which Republic Services releases from the Town or construction debris.
Republic Services will bill all commercial and industrial customers directly. All commercial and industrial customers will be billed a 5 percent franchise fee on each bill.

When you open a new water and sewer account, the Town’s Utility Billing staff will coordinate the start of trash and recycling service on your behalf. Billing for all these services are handled through Utility Billing.
